Students had the exciting opportunity to visit Google’s London offices for an inspiring event arranged by Women of the Future Ambassadors’ Programme. The students heard from members of Google’s team, who shared their personal career journeys and insights into the wide range of roles available at Google. They also offered practical advice on pursuing careers in technology and innovation.
Kirsty Verney, Deputy Head Sixth Form at Churcher’s College, said, “It was a fantastic visit with some great takeaways for our girls and details on the vast offering in Google. Thank you for the encouraging words from those who gave up their time to share their stories and advice.”
A big thank you to Srishti Warman, GTM Manager, Pixel (EMEA) for arranging the visit.
Our incredible WOF Ambassador, Carlotta Zorzi-Chapman, visited St Mary’s School Gerrards Cross to chat with students about tech, innovation, and chasing your dreams.
The students were captivated by her journey and insights into the exciting world of technology. One of the teachers shared:
“Your talk was exceptional and the girls gained so much from it. You’ve had such an inspiring journey and it was amazing for the girls to hear someone speak so passionately about the world of tech.” – Sam Kelly, Key Stage 4 and Head of Religious Studies
Lansons gave our 5 of our connected schools the opportunity to visit their offices in London to host a PR workshop giving them a taste of what PR is and interview training and top tips.
Thank you for organising the insight visit to Lansons today. I had 5 students with me and they had a really great morning. The speakers were all interesting and the students felt they learnt a lot from the session.
– Nicky Stoney, Head of Careers & Futures, Sydenham High School
Thank you so much for inviting us to join the event at Lansons today. The girls and I thoroughly enjoyed it – they said that you’ve won them over! It was so interesting to hear from different speakers about their roles in the PR, Marketing and Communications sector and gain a comprehensive overview. The students also said how helpful it was to hear from an employer about what to include in their CVs and how to prepare for interview.
– Liz Allen, Deputy Head of Sixth Form (HE & Careers), James Allen’s Girls School
Pipers Corner School welcomed one of our ambassadors from the Women of the Future Programme to speak to our sixth formers about her groundbreaking work in sustainable building practices.
The session was more than just a talk—it was a hands-on challenge! Students worked in teams to design and build their own sustainable structures, pushing their creativity and critical thinking skills to the limit. Hearing first-hand about the ambassador’s experiences and achievements motivated our students to think ambitiously about their own career aspirations. The event culminated with each team pitching their innovative designs to the ambassador, gaining invaluable feedback and insight into the future of green architecture.
A huge thank you to the Women of the Future program for inspiring our students to think bigger and bolder. The future of sustainable design is in good hands!
